It depends on if the stuffing has meat. Some people like to add pork, shrimp, and egg to the chive dumplings for a better taste. If you want to make vegetarian chive dumplings, just don’t add any meat to them.

Are Chive Dumplings Healthy?

When eating dumplings during the Chinese New Year, these dumplings are the main feature. Many people like the fragrance of chive very much. Its special spicy smell helps to relieve Liver-qi and increase appetite. Leek contains a lot of vitamins and crude fiber, which can improve gastrointestinal motility and prevent constipation. Chives are warm and pungent, can nourish the kidney, warm the Yang, invigorate the liver and strengthen the spleen. What Can You Have Dumplings With?

There are many dumplings dips to help you eat the dumplings.

Dipping vinegar is the most popular one. I think the taste is also good, but the vinegar is too sour that can not be dipped too much. When I’m writing this, my mouth is acidic.

They are dipped in chili oil. The chili oil is fragrant and spicy, so if you like spicy food, you can’t miss it.

Dipping in soy sauce. Some like to dip dumplings in soy sauce when eating. If the dumpling tastes relatively light, dipping soy sauce is appropriate, if the dumpling taste just right, dipping soy sauce is a little too salty.

Dipping in vinegar, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Some people like vinegar and soy sauce with a little bit of sesame oil. It’s very tasty. But if you like to eat food with stronger flavors, this way of eating always feels a little bit short of flavor.

Dipping in vinegar, garlic paste, and chili oil. This way to eat the taste is also good, but don’t put too much garlic if you don’t like garlic. The taste of garlic is too strong. Maybe you want to brush your teeth after eating dumplings with it. It is a good idea that doesn’t eat it before you meet some important people for you.

Can You Freeze Chive Dumplings?

Chives can be frozen. There are companies on the market specializing in frozen chives after a special process. It is different from what we usually put directly in the refrigerator at home. If the fresh chives are without any treatment when directly put in the refrigerator inside the freezer, they will lose the original moisture of chives. But dumplings can be directly put in the freezer to save, wait until the time to eat again because it is wrapped with dough directly after freezing.
